The Talgo TPU™ is a self-contained trainset equipped with the latest generation of Talgo passenger cars and a Talgo power car that supplies electricity, water and compressed air to the rest of the trainset.

Talgo TPU™ trainsets may be operated with any type of locomotive, including GM F59s as in the Pacific Northwest Corridor. The locomotive's maximum commercial speed is 125 mph.
